Some of the first new cotton bow ties to launch this season were two very easy to wear plaids by the fine folks at Cursor & Thread. While being very different from each other, these two handsome handmade adornments have a fair amount in common: they both employ very complimentary hues from their own palette, and they're both very understated for plaids. The Camden Bow Tie has some wonderful blues, but is very subtle in the patterns of those blues, while the Monck Bow Tie may not shy away from the orange, but does embrace it with an almost creamy yellow - which kind of makes us think of a creamsicle. As always, these are made in Canada by people...
We have been waiting to launch our Cursor & Thread braces (or suspenders) since we last longed for the return of the chocolate Slurpee, but the wait is now over. No sooner did we finish a small run of Dublin Braces in blue stripe and black stripe, than they were reserved and are now in select Cursor & Thread Stockists including Gravity Pope, WALRUS, Victory, Still Life and Outlooks. The great thing about these Dublin Braces in particular is that they're a combo clip, meaning you can fasten them with the included clips, or with the included leather straps and buttons. Add a pair to your rotation, and good people will appreciate the look.
We're thrilled to announce the release of 100 limited edition, reversible, numbered, custom KONA cotton Fluevog Bow Ties by Cursor & Thread. We worked closely with John and his team to create two different Fluevogian printed fabrics and then got to work making each bow tie by hand. One side features a lace pattern they used this season on a Derby Swirl Boot, while the other side boasts John's handwritten messages from the soles of many past families of Fluevog footwear.
We've released two new premium bow ties, conveniently perfect for the holiday season. The Shin-Koiwa Bow Tie is handmade with luscious Japanese fabric, and The Highland Plaid Bow Tie is perfect for holiday parties, but will also fly any other day of the year. It should be said that while the Shin-Koiwa will receive a near unlimited amount of positive attention, its numbers are severely limited.
